For our Client, a leading international company operating in the global FMCG and retail markets, we are seeking a qualified candidate for the Tax & Statutory Manager position. The role is based in Kraków and involves working in an SSC/GBS environment with direct business partnering.

Responsibilities:

  • manage a direct tax accounting for both US GAAP and statutory accounts for each entity in the region, as well as coordinate with external service providers for tax preparation teams,
  • responsible for statutory & direct tax processes related to external and internal reporting and returns, including the monthly close process,
  • partner with other members in the finance organization; FP&A, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, Accounting, as well as the Legal department to ensure new accounting, business, and statutory issues are properly incorporated into the income tax returns,
  • provide the statutory financial statement and tax process, including the external auditor requests,
  • lead the process to monitor income tax payments and the related income tax payable accounts,
  • assist with gathering information and documentation required by the local tax department,
  • drive efforts to leverage technology, automation and standardization related to all aspects in scope as far as processes and controls are concerned including SOX controls, training and documentation,
  • report to Europe Statutory and Tax Accounting Director.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the relevant roles related to Tax, Statutory and Compliance,
  • deep understanding of income tax return, indirect tax or statutory accounting experience,
  • CPA or similar qualifications would be an asset,
  • a proactive, high-energy professional who excels in dynamic, fast-paced environments characterized by growth,
  • strong track record of problem-solving, creative thinking, and communication skills,
  • fluency in English and communicative skills in French are crucial.
