For our client - a well/known manufacturing company - we are recruiting for experienced Accounting Professional to:

  • Conduct the statutory financial statement process, including managing the external auditor requests, meeting with local authorities and supporting statutory financial statements & tax audits.
  • Oversee the completion of statutory financial statements by providing accurate data and coordinating the review of SFS for the statutory auditor network in the region
  • Support the income tax accounting for both US GAAP and statutory accounts for each entity in the region by coordinating external tax service provider for tax preparation teams
  • Cooperate with other members in the finance organization: Planning & Analysis, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, Accounting, Public Reporting, as well as Legal department to ensure new accounting, business, statutory or tax developments are properly incorporated into the income tax returns and SFS
  • Be responsible for income tax payments and transfer pricing adjustments.
  • Monitor income tax payments and the related income tax payable accounts
  • Assist with gathering information and documentation required by the US & local tax department regarding US income tax returns and by local authorities about SFS
  • Support efforts to leverage technology, automation and standardization related to all aspects in scope
  • Stay up to date with country legislation changes
  • Support ad-hoc projects and requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Finance, Tax or Accounting roles.
  • Fluent in English and at least one other European language (French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, German).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey statutory and tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, topics and processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have:

  • Income tax/indirect tax/statutory accounting experience
