For one of our clients, a company offering a range of products and solutions in the fields of smart energy, energy efficiency, and renewable energy, I am looking for a candidate for the position of Financial Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily accounting transactions, including journal entries, account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.

  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop and manage monthly and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Prepare financial forecasts and projections, including cash flow statements, P&L statements and balance sheets.

  • Build and maintain financial models for renewable energy projects, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI analysis and scenario modeling.

  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, such as investment opportunities, project feasibility and risk assessment.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support strategic decision-making.

  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial reports for regulatory compliance and audits.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial initiatives and projects.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, procedures and controls.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
