This expansion allows us to create an engineering division in Poland that will be instrumental in enhancing wind turbine blade manufacturing and establishing new industry standards in quality and efficiency.We are currently hiring for a Specialist role, as well as other similar positions that vary in seniority. Continues improvements of manufacturing processes are one of the keys responsibly of Technical support. Materials qualifications are also lay within technical support. There will be between 1-2 operational support engineers per Manufacturing processes team. The whole Lay-up department will consist of 10-16 high educated engineers or equal education, and they will be divided into 5 teams: Process, Tooling, Documentation, Operational Support and TrainingResponsibilitiesAs a Technical Support Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in improving the manufacturing processes for wind turbine blades. If you do not have a deep knolled withing composite materials and blades manufacturing, you will have high motivation to get it. Your improvements shall support process stability and capability to improve overall business performance; Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC)Implement continuous improvement of Lay-up processes across manufacturing sitesAnalyze current and future state processes, create improvement plans, and lead related projectsPrepare and manage Engineering Change Notices (CNs)Act as case handler for critical escalations from factories to ensure fast problem resolutionConduct material qualifications, including planning, testing, and documentationApply structured problem-solving methods (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) and quality tools such as SPC and LeanUse digital tools and data analytics to enable data-driven decision making and performance improvementQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldGB Six Sigma or Advanced Manufacturing Process Analysis6–8 years of experience in similar roles within manufacturing engineeringFluent English; Polish language will be valuableCAD/CATIA understanding and willingness to travel to support multiple Vestas sitesDemonstrated experience in leading process improvement tasks, executing optimization/standardization, and analyzing manufacturing processes including material performanceKnowledge of material qualification, process specifications, and experience working in a data-driven organization using structured problem-solving and improvement toolsCompetenciesProficient technical, analytical, and operational competencies within composites, precision manufacturing, and continuous improvementKnowledge of composite materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, and epoxy resinsSkill in process design and optimization for blade lay-up or manufacturing processesData-driven decision making, with experience using analytics toolsProficiency with problem-solving and quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, FMEA, SPC, and Six SigmaSelf-motivated, result-oriented, and highly organized with effective collaboration skillsWillingness to work in a factory environment to understand processes and implement improvementsWhat we offerWe offer a chance to join the global leader in sustainable energy solutions, while working as part of a highly motivated and collaborative team.
