Mobile Team at Text is building the next generation of our mobile app — a product that connects tens of thousands of businesses with their customers every single day.

We're turning Text into a mobile experience that's as powerful, reliable, and beautifully crafted as its web counterpart — because for many of our users, mobile is the primary platform.

We've recently rebuilt the app from the ground up, clearing out legacy code and setting up a modern, high-performance foundation based on React Native and Expo. Now it's time to go further — deliver features faster, refine performance to perfection, and craft interactions that feel effortless.

You'll join a small, senior team that takes full ownership of the code, the quality, and the product. We design together, ship together, and take pride in what we build. There's no endless chain of approvals or layers of process here — just a group of people who care deeply about creating an exceptional app experience. About the Role

We're looking for a React Native Developer to help shape the future of the Text app — a product that needs to be fast, stable, and truly enjoyable to use.

You'll be a key part of a small, autonomous team that owns the mobile experience end-to-end. You'll make architectural decisions, identify performance opportunities, and collaborate with designers and backend engineers to build features that feel seamless across platforms.

This role is for someone who thrives on ownership and craftsmanship — someone who's comfortable jumping between product thinking and technical deep dives, and who takes pride in building things that just work. Every line of code you ship will directly impact thousands of users worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Build and evolve the Text mobile app using React Native and Expo — shaping features from concept to release.
• Push performance to its limits — fine-tune JS/UI threads, animations, and memory usage for a smooth, responsive feel.
• Work across environments — iOS and Android builds, certificates, provisioning, and deployment through EAS Build and OTA updates.
• Contribute to the architecture — ensuring scalability, maintainability, and clean abstractions as the app grows.
• Debug and optimize with profiling tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Own releases and reliability — managing build pipelines and OTA updates, and maintaining production stability.
• Continuously improve quality through thoughtful code reviews, testing, and strong attention to detail.

Who You Are

• You have 5+ years of experience developing mobile apps with React Native and TypeScript.
• You're confident working with Expo, Reanimated, React Navigation, and Redux Toolkit.
• You have experience with EAS Build and OTA updates.
• You know how to debug and profile performance across JS, UI, and native layers.
• You move comfortably across iOS and Android environments, with a solid understanding of build processes, certificates, and provisioning.
• You have a solid grasp of backend concepts — REST APIs, WebSocket communication, and authentication flows.
• You value ownership, clarity, and pragmatism — you care about product outcomes, not just code output.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions + EAS).
• Experience with , especially frameworks like Koa and tools like Redis.
• Curiosity about backend architecture and how mobile interacts with it.
• Experience with push notifications, advanced animations, or native integrations.
