Job Requirements

  • Drafting and Reviewing Documents: Assist in preparing draft finance documents (including security documents), legal opinions, direct agreements, escrow agreements, pay-off letters, standstill agreements and documents relating to satisfaction of conditions precedent under the supervision of senior associates or partners.
  • Transactional Support: Assist in advising clients on a variety of banking and finance transactional matters.
  • Contract Negotiation: Support negotiations of finance documentation on behalf of clients.
  • Transaction Closings: Support transaction closings, including preparation of checklists and post-closing formalities.

We Expect

  • A Master's degree in law.
  • Admission to the Advocate or Attorney-at-Law Bar as a trainee is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience advising clients in the Banking & Finance sector.
  • Very good command of spoken and written Polish and English.
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and demonstrate ownership of tasks.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Very good organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and a "can-do" attitude.
  • A proactive, supportive and team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills.

Greenberg Traurig's Project and Structured Finance practice in Warsaw is a leading team in the Polish market, recognized for its in-depth expertise in advising on complex financing transactions in various sectors. Our lawyers provide sophisticated legal support to lenders, borrowers, sponsors and investors, including Polish and foreign banks, multilateral agencies, private debt providers and international financial institutions. The team has been involved in some of the most significant financing projects in Poland and the wider Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, including renewable energy projects, real estate investments and cross-border transactions.

Led by Piotr Nerwiński, the practice focuses on project finance, real estate finance, acquisition finance, sustainability loans and other types of structured finance transactions. It is particularly renowned for its expertise in renewable energy finance, having advised on landmark transactions involving large-scale wind farms and photovoltaic (PV) power plant portfolios in Poland and other CEE countries. The team also has experience in financial restructurings.
