Role Description

Are you ready to take on a leading role in shaping strategic procurement at LEO Pharma? We are looking for a proactive and highly skilled Category Manager to manage procurement activities in category Logistics and Distribution. This is a key role in identifying opportunities, optimizing supplier relationships, and driving overall procurement excellence in an international and collaborative environment.

Your Role:
As a Category Manager, you will be the driving force behind procurement strategies within Logistics and Distribution category. Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will ensure that our procurement processes align with LEO Pharma's strategic goals and deliver measurable value to the organization.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining category strategies that align with business needs, supply market insights, and global objectives.
  • Conducting supplier relationship management and governance, participating in key stakeholder meetings, and facilitating supplier evaluations across functions.
  • Leading and performing tenders, RFX processes, and negotiations to achieve favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Ensuring all suppliers are covered by active contracts, in collaboration with Legal, and driving supplier consolidation and optimization.
  • Managing SAP catalogues and creating preferred supplier lists.
  • Identifying and pursuing procurement opportunities that enhance total cost optimization while actively analyzing data to support KPI targets.
  • Leading large-scale procurement projects and acting as a trusted advisor for GLT members by providing strategic guidance and support in procurement decisions.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of supply markets and business needs to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for further optimization.

Your Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience from the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry or equivalent, including Category Manager experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing indirect or direct categories, preferably Logistics and Distribution
  • Expertise in managing large, complex procurement projects, including negotiating and executing business-critical contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of contractual supplier issues, including legal terms and conditions.
  • Proven skills in Category Management, Stakeholder Management, Contract Management, and supplier relationship optimization.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with solid proficiency in business English (spoken and written).
  • Strategic thinking with a "bigger picture" approach to problem-solving and driving value-based initiatives.
  • Advanced analytical skills, customer focus, and a proactive mindset that fosters collaboration and innovation.
