Our client, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a skilled Market Risk & Treasury Team Member with German language skills to join their dynamic team in Warsaw, Poland. Position Overview

As a Market Risk & Treasury Team Member, you will play a crucial role in executing projects related to market and liquidity risk models, derivative pricing, trading book, banking book, and ALM. You will leverage your expertise to develop tools for risk modeling and measurement, prepare insightful reports and presentations, and perform a wide range of analyses. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from across the PwC Network, particularly in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Carry out projects in market risk, focusing on market and liquidity risk models, derivative pricing, trading book, banking book, and ALM
• Develop tools for risk modeling and measurement using various technologies
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and insights
• Perform a wide range of analyses and develop financial models to support decision-making
• Execute projects individually and collaborate effectively with team members
• Engage in daily cooperation with colleagues from the PwC Network, especially in Germany

Requirements

• Fluency in English (C1 level or higher) and the ability to communicate in German
• Practical knowledge in at least one of the following areas: derivatives pricing methods, market and/or liquidity risk management concepts, accounting models, trading, collateral management, clearing, and settlement, including relevant regulations (e.g., market infrastructure, market abuse)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Interest in topic development and active participation in the German FS-Risk practice teams
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a proactive, problem-solving work style
• Open, honest, and structured communication approach with a focus on delivering high-quality results
• Availability for occasional business travel to Germany
• Desirable: Experience in the financial sector (e.g., banking, insurance, asset management) and knowledge of programming languages (C#, Python, SQL, R, Matlab, SAS) and data science packages (tidyverse, sklearn, )
