Territory Training Captain – Internal Trainerr

Role Purpose

The Territory Training Captain (TTC) builds frontline capability across the territory to

elevate service, product expertise, and operational execution. The role designs,

schedules, and delivers training that strengthens product knowledge for brand and

seasonal campaigns, improves store performance KPIs, and enhances shrink control,

safety, and compliance, while accelerating onboarding and readiness for new-store

openings and new leaders. The TTC partners closely with Retail Directors, District

Managers, HR Business Partners, and Product/Merchandising & VM to ensure

training is targeted, measurable, and aligned with Retailors' standards and programs

(e.g., Athlete 15, SOLE, Retailors Academy).

Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Planning

• Build and maintain the quarterly training plan for the territory, prioritizing high-impact topics (service model, product knowledge, operations, LP, safety).
• Partner with Global L&D and Global Retail to design and deliver training aligned to commercial goals, seasonal priorities, and recovery plans, and cascade to the Territory Retail Director and DMs.

Program Design & Delivery

• Localize global curricula (Athlete 15, service standards, selling skills, VM/ops checklists) for store execution.
• Deliver blended learning (in store classroom, on-floor coaching, virtual) with clear learning objectives and practice/assessment.
• Certify in-store trainers/coaches; build a bench of store-level "training champions."

Onboarding & Readiness

• Own the onboarding pathway for Athletes, Leads, Coaches; ensure day-1 to day-30 milestones are met.
• Prepare new store openings/refreshes with pre-opening training, role-play, and opening-week support.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

• Train on SOPs: cash, inventory/RFID, shipment, stockroom, H&S, loss prevention, and GDPR/customer data handling.
• Coordinate with HR/Compliance to deliver mandatory modules and maintain accurate records in Connecteam/BambooHR.
• Partner with Operations and IT to define requirements for new operational systems (e.g., POS, inventory/RFID, scheduling, LMS), support configuration and testing, create user guides, and deliver training for pilots and full rollout; gather feedback to update SOPs and drive adoption.

Product Knowledge & VM Alignment

• Translate brand/product stories into selling points and staff briefs; coordinate with Product/VM on floor-set readiness.
• Coach cross-selling and attachment strategies to lift UPT/ATV.

Performance Coaching & Follow-Up

• Conduct in-store coaching sessions; provide actionable feedback to HC/DM.
• Use Connecteam dashboards to identify gaps and measure impact; iterate plans based on results.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

• Provide monthly training dashboards: coverage, completion, audit/Mystery Shop deltas, and action status by door.
• Escalate risks and propose mitigations; contribute to discussions on bottom 5 doors recovery plans

Requirements

• 3–5+ years in multi-site retail training, field coaching, or store leadership (SM/ASM/Coach) with proven results.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and adult-learning design skills; ability to simplify and operationalize.
• Data-literate: can translate KPIs into training priorities and measure impact.
• Proficient with LMS (Connecteam or equivalent), HRIS (BambooHR), scheduling (SameSystem), and Excel/PowerPoint.
• Languages: Polish and English (professional working proficiency).
