Role description

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced 3rd Line Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT support team. This role focuses on advanced desktop and user support, Active Directory administration, scripting, and endpoint security. The successful candidate will handle complex escalations, support daily IT operations, and contribute to improving support processes and security posture.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide 3rd line IT support for complex desktop, OS, and user-related issues.
  • Act as an escalation point for L1/L2 support teams.
  • Administer and support Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and GPOs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows OS, application, and hardware issues.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate support and administrative tasks.
  • Support vulnerability management, including remediation activities and compliance checks.
  • Use Tanium for endpoint management, patching, monitoring, and security-related tasks.
  • Ensure endpoints comply with internal IT and security standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote meeting and conferencing support when required.
  • Support onboarding of new employees, including account setup, access provisioning, and device preparation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and support guides.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and service desk teams to resolve cross-functional issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

Must Have:

  • Microsoft certification (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Strong experience with Active Directory administration.
  • Proven experience in 3rd line desktop / IT support.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with vulnerability management or security remediation tasks.
  • Experience working with Tanium or similar endpoint management tools.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting remote meetings and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with user onboarding and IT lifecycle management.
