Required Skills (Exposure During Studies or Self-Learning)

  • Java (preferred) or basic Python
  • Understanding of automated testing principles
  • SQL fundamentals
  • Basic UNIX knowledge
  • XML
  • JIRA or similar project tools
  • Basic API testing
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Interest in frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, or Cucumber

Desirable:
Any additional automation tools or QA frameworks you've explored

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop, run, and maintain automated test scripts (primarily in Java)
  • Assist with manual testing when required to understand system behaviour
  • Document and track test results, ensuring any defects are properly recorded
  • Review project requirements and translate them into test scenarios
  • Work closely with Production Support, Test Management, Developers, and Business Analysts
  • Identify and escalate issues or risks in a timely manner
  • Contribute to improving testing processes and automation coverage

What We're Looking For

  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Higher education degree (STEM or IT preferred, but all backgrounds considered)
  • Basic programming skills, ideally in Java
  • Exposure to QA or software testing through university, training, bootcamps, or self-learning
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Motivation to develop a long-term career in Test Automation
  • Familiarity with SQL, API testing tools (e.g., SOAP UI), and Jira/Confluence is an advantage
  • Interest in finance, technology, and continuous learning
