For our international client from the manufacturing sector, we are seeking an experienced General Ledger Team Leader to manage a small accounting team and ensure high-quality financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 7–8 accountants and supervise all GL activities.

  • Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules.

  • Work with external auditors and ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal procedures.

  • Handle more complex accounting matters (accruals, prepayments, inventory valuation, revaluations).

  • Participate in system improvements and drive efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in accounting, including 2+ years in a leadership role.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP; US GAAP exposure is an advantage.

  • Experience with GL processes and ERP systems (ideally SAP).

  • Strong communication, analytical skills, and a hands-on leadership approach.

  • Very good English skills.
