The Accounting Department in Gates Business Services Center works in partnership with other international departments to accurately record and report financial results. The role will have significant interaction with the Controllers from company and other operational stakeholders. The General Ledger Accountant will be involved in the monthly financial statement close, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, annual audit, accounting and other financial systems, and accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

  • Support accounting process for one of Gates entities Great Britain operations
  • Perform other related accounting duties as assigned
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year end close and financial reporting information
  • Register purchases of fixed assets in SAP/ Knowledge of fixed assets
  • Prepare and document journal entries and reconciliations relating to balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare account reconciliations for assigned areas in a timely manner

ABOUT YOU

  • Master's degree in Finance or Accounting with minimum 3 years of experience in an international company in the GL department in SSC
  • Good knowledge of the GL process 
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards
  • Strong communication skills and fast learning ability required
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications and Accounting/ ERP System (SAP experience)
  • Communicative English is mandatory
