About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our agile cross-functional development team, working at the interface of hardware and software. The focus of this role is on developing algorithms for presence and position detection of components by measuring and evaluating magnetic fields.

You will work closely with colleagues from different disciplines, following an iterative and collaborative approach in line with agile principles. Every 14 days, progress is presented and planning adjusted to ensure continuous alignment and improvement.

This role is ideal for a data scientist who enjoys turning digital prototypes into robust, production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Familiarize yourself with the project's technical challenges and contribute to solutions within the development team.
  • Independently design and implement algorithms for sensor data processing and analysis.
  • Develop, test, and refine models using iterative, agile methods.
  • Regularly present progress and adapt plans in accordance with sprint cycles.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers in a cross-functional setting.
  • Optionally, support interdisciplinary tasks across the team when needed.
RequirementsMust-Have
  • Working with sensor data or data from devices i.e. mobile phones, medical devices- min. 1-2 project, within IoT/Industry business domain - is a must.
  • Strong experience with Python and common numerical libraries (numpy, scipy) and data visualization tools (e.g., plotly express).
  • Hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, with applied knowledge of classification models, metrics, and clustering algorithms.
  • Proficiency in pandas and Python ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn).
  • Solid SQL knowledge (standard aggregations, analytical functions).
  • Experience with statistical simulation methods (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations).
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with ML application tracking (e.g., MLflow tracking).
  • Experience with Databricks, or at least with notebook-based development (Jupyter).
  • Familiarity with MS Office 365 and Slack for collaboration.
  • Technical understanding of measurement and representation of electromagnetic fields.
