Job Summary

The
Global EHS Program Manager (Environment)
is responsible for designing, preparing, implementing, and delivering Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across the IONWAY portfolio. This role includes executing environmental protection programs, leading environmental compliance and related third-party audits, and contributing to the development of corporate environmental strategy. The position requires close collaboration with local EHS teams, external authorities, an auditors and internal stakeholders such as all levels of employees, global functions of IONWAY and plant level departments, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery & Implementation

• Prepare, implement, and deliver related EHS programs including Environmental Management programs, and initiatives (but not limited to).
• Lead and execute environmental protection initiatives, environmental compliance activities including (internal and third-party audits) and IONWAY conformance review processes.
• Support the development and deployment of programs such as EHS Compliance, Process Safety, REACH/CLP, and other initiatives in IONWAY such as Environmental Sustainability (but not limited to).
• Track and close CAPA (Corrective Actions & Preventive Actions) related to environmental findings.
• Support/lead EHS needs in Due Diligence processes and coordinate follow-up actions with Umicore.
• Provide input to corporate EHS strategy based on audit results and overall program performance.
• Collaborate with local EHS teams and global stakeholders to ensure alignment with national and European environment regulations, focusing on continuous improvement.
• Support the Environmental licensing processes whenever needed for the entire operations at IONWAY (or lead by Umicore).

Cross-functional Support

• Support environmental aspects of initiatives within other functions/departments such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality & Operational Excellence, Legal & Compliance (but not limited to).
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and ensure follow-up on environmental actions.
• Promote environmental awareness and integration to support IONWAY's sustainability efforts and principles across business operations.

Documentation & Training

• Develop documentation, training materials, and implementation tools for related EHS programs.
• Deliver training and internal communication on environmental programs, best practices and other EHS programs.

Key Requirements

• University (Bachelor) degree in Environmental Protection, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering or other related degrees.
• Minimum 10 years of Environmental experience, preferably in chemical, automotive, heavy industry, or other highly regulated sectors.
• Proven experience in project/program management and conducting environmental compliance initiatives including audits and licensing; international project management certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, FM/UL), REACH/CLP procedures, and Seveso directive.
• International Environmental certifications (e.g., NEBOSH) and/or Lead Auditor certifications in environmental standards are a plus, is having additional Health & Safety certification is a plus.
• Proven experience and knowledge of environmental sustainability, ESG aspects, and sustainability compliance is a plus.
• Strong influencing and leadership skills with the ability to influence different levels of employees embedded both compliance checks and supportive coaching approaches.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Fluent in English (C1/C2) and Polish (B2/C1).

Reporting Line

• Reports to the Global EHS Manager and administratively to the Wroclaw Shared Services Office Head.
• No direct reports; functionally leads and supports site EHS teams and cross-functional project teams.
