Reporting Lines: Reports to Accounts Payable Supervisor

Job Purpose:

As a member of our dynamic finance team, you will be integral to the Accounts Payable (AP) function.

Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring accurate processing and matching purchase invoices to receipt notes and purchase orders, and promptly addressing any discrepancies and queries.

You must be an experienced AP accounts controller, skilled in high-volume processing while maintaining the highest level of accuracy. Additionally, you should be a supportive team member, capable of leveraging your knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Invoice validation through capture
• Manage AP mailboxes ensuring supplier queries are dealt with promptly
• Manage and process a high volume of supplier invoices using the Unit 4 financials system
• Coding of overhead purchase invoices and match against purchase orders
• Process property invoices for rent, service charge, insurance and rates
• Accurately match stock invoices against PO's, quantities received, price, and currency, ensuring charges are correct
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve purchase order, pricing, and stock discrepancies
• Update and maintain daily stock reports
• Ensure trade and settlement discounts are correctly applied
• Take ownership of ledger reconciliations and work with suppliers to resolve discrepancies
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers
• Prepare weekly accounts payable statistics reports
• Other Ad-hoc duties as required

Skills & Experience:

• Five years of experience in an accounts payable role
• Proven ability to manage reporting data and perform analysis
• Skilled in reviewing and resolving issues on statement reconciliations
• Experience working with international suppliers
• Preferable experience in stock matching
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
• Familiarity with Unit4 or similar accounting software, with a solid understanding of system functionalities
• Strong ability to priorities workload and meet deadlines
