Role Overview

The Export Manager – Eastern Europe will be responsible for driving export sales and expanding business across Eastern European markets with a focus on
Oral Care
, followed by
Hair Care
and
Natural Health & Wellness
categories. This role will manage distributor-led export operations, retail listings, and overall regional P&L to deliver profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Export Business Development

  • Develop export business across Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, and nearby markets.
  • Identify, appoint, and manage export distributors, importers, and key trade partners.
  • Lead market entry and expansion strategies across Eastern Europe.

Distributor & Retail Management

  • Drive listings and visibility in major retail chains such as
    Rossmann, DM, BIPA, Hebe, Tesco, Muller, Konzum
    , and e-commerce platforms.
  • Negotiate export pricing, trade terms, promotions, and annual agreements with distributors and key retailers.
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) to achieve sales and distribution targets.

P&L & Business Planning

  • Own and manage the export P&L for the region.
  • Prepare annual sales plans, budgets, forecasts, and promotional calendars.
  • Manage pricing, margins, and trade spends to ensure sustainable profitability.

Portfolio, Trade Marketing & Execution

  • Provide market insights on product performance, consumer trends, and competitor activity.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D) to align product mix, pack sizes, and export compliance with local market needs.
  • Support distributors with strong selling tools and in-store execution plans.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track market trends, category growth, and competitive landscape.
  • Share regular performance updates and strategic recommendations with senior management.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8–12 years
    of experience in
    export sales / international business development
    within FMCG or Consumer Goods.
  • Proven experience managing export distributors and retail channels in Eastern or Central Europe.
  • Strong understanding of modern trade retailers such as Rossmann, DM, BIPA, Hebe, Tesco, Muller, Konzum.
  • Experience in personal care, oral care, or natural health products preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in
    English
    is mandatory; knowledge of Polish or another Eastern European language is an advantage.
