Together with our Client, an international production Company, we are looking for an experienced candidate for Senior General Accountant (GL) role.

This person will be responsible for daily bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivables, end-of-month close, audit procedures (internal and external), cash management, financial reporting, audit preparation, tax management.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing daily operations of accounting department
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data, producing financial reports and statements
  • Prepare all financial reports for the headquarters and all official financial statements and cash flow forecasts.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Establish and maintain all tax files and records to document transactions. Pay all tax duties on time, preparing tax returns (VAT, CIT)
  • Managing banks and treasury, fixed assets,
  • Cooperation with external institutions (Tax Office, NBP, ZUS, others)
  • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  • Participation in financial projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing accounting and financial processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position; the best of which was gained in a manufacturing company
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations, as well as Polish tax duties
  • Very good level of English (B2/C1)
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, Excel, and SAP
  • Practical knowledge of tax regulations in the area of VAT and CIT
  • General knowledge of US GAAP
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct, supervise, and lead a team
