Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Team Leader to join their evolving SSC structure. This role encompasses full-scope accounting and tax responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to lead and transform financial operations. Our client is a prestigious fashion house based in Stockholm, with a long-standing heritage in tailoring. For over a century, they have represented style with purpose, designing clothing for men and women who value true style as a reflection of their confidence and individuality. They have a small SSC structure in Warsaw (next to Metro Line).

Description

  • Oversee account reconciliations and ensure timely follow-up on any open items.
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reports and analyses.
  • Supervise the CIT, VAT, Intrastat, and statistics processes.
  • Coordinate and update Transfer Pricing documentation.
  • Manage payroll coordination with external suppliers.
  • Lead Month End Closure activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local business controllers and other SSC departments.
  • Review current processes and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare documentation for audits and collaborate with external auditors.
  • Prepare local financial statements using pre-agreed templates.
  • Support team members in daily operations and share knowledge within the SSC.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Manage and lead a team in the near future.

Profile

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Full accounting experience (AP/AR/GL).
  • Minimum 2 years of team management experience.
  • Proficient in CIT, VAT, and WHT taxes.
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing (advantageous).
  • Familiar with payroll processes.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements; consolidated statements a plus.
  • Advanced English proficiency; additional languages (Danish, German, French, Swedish) a plus.
  • Strong skills in Excel and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on approach and team support.
  • Problem-solving attitude.
  • Experience in multinational environments.
  • Adaptable to changes.
  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
