PT Director/Social Worker-Westside Christian Outreach

We are looking for a PT Director/Social Worker for our small NFP, which is comprised of churches from the Westside of Jacksonville. The position is expected to grow from 9 hours to 15 – 20 hours per week over time. Churches refer persons in need to WSCO and this position provides intake, assessment, referral and may provide direct help. The WSCO Board would be willing to consider someone who may also work at another similar organization PT.

Essential duties and responsibilities


• Maintain relationships with member churches who refer clients to WSCO for services and assistance. This includes providing feedback, so the church knows the outcome of their referral.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agencies to whom clients are referred for services. This involves learning the services and programs they offer, understanding the requirements for those services and developing contacts for ease in referrals of clients.
• Responsible for screening and thorough intake assessment to determine the best solutions to assist the client.
• Maintenance of client data, records and reports concerning individuals and families served.
• Maintain food pantry including placement of food orders.
• Monthly report to the board on services provided, outcomes and feedback regarding unmet needs.
• Work with volunteers who may wish to serve with food pantry or other programs.
• Work with the Board in development of annual budget to address program needs.

Qualifications

Required:
• Good communication and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills for client data and records.
• Organization and planning skills.
• Personal transportation
• Must pass a background check.Preferred Skills:
• Community network experience in providing client services.
• Ability to use social media.
• Community social services contacts.
• Comfortable with public speaking representing WSCO.
• Program development and implementation skills.
• Grant writing experience.
• Ministry experience (volunteering, teaching, serving).
• Social work or casework background.
• Brings vision, creativity, and innovation to client services.

Education and Experience


• College degree desired but may be less important if applicant has job related work experience.

Salary/Salary Range

$18 - $24 per hour commensurate with experience
