The position is available either in Poland or Kyiv. For safety reasons, candidates can choose to work in Poland until it's safe to relocate to Kyiv.

When applying for this role, you get to select your preferred work location between: Warsaw, Poland; Kyiv, Ukraine.

Minimum requirements:
  • Experience in management within technology, advertising, or online sectors.
  • Previous exposure to working in an international setting.
  • Proficiency in English and Ukrainian languages.
Desired qualifications:
  • Leadership background, influencing skills both internally and externally, cross-functional leadership expertise, previous experience as a country manager.
  • Ability to influence across various media, business, and government platforms, with established relations within the advertising, tech, and startup domains.
  • Capacity to prioritize effectively in a rapidly evolving business landscape, steering business performance and growth.
  • Aptitude for analysis, thought leadership, agility, and a positive mindset.
  • Strong network at a C-level within Ukraine, including political and economic decision makers, ideally with prior Country Manager experience.
Job Description

As the Country Director, your role involves leading a commercial team, representing all facets of Google in Ukraine. You will influence how Google is perceived by businesses, government entities, and consumers. Your expertise in digital media, communication, and analytical skills will shape the growth of both new and existing businesses. Moreover, your entrepreneurial spirit will play a crucial role in educating and convincing potential customers to adopt Google's latest advertising solutions. By understanding market dynamics, setting clear objectives, fostering collaboration, and leading by example, you will guide and inspire a sizable team. Continuously exploring and addressing customer needs will be central to growing Google's product offerings.

The Large Customer Sales teams collaborate closely with major advertisers and agencies worldwide to devise digital strategies that enhance businesses and brands. Situated at the forefront of the digital advertising shift towards mobile and online platforms, we help define how companies expand in the digital era. Through advising clients on Google's diverse product range, including search, video, and mobile solutions, we enable them to engage seamlessly with their target audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Google's representative internally and externally in Ukraine, leveraging connections in business circles and with high-level decision makers.
  • Define and execute business plans and strategies to drive Google's commercial endeavors.
  • Lead the Large Customer Sales (LCS) team in Ukraine, collaborating closely with advertisers and agencies to craft successful digital strategies.
  • Drive business growth, particularly with major advertisers and ecosystem partners, while aligning with the Google Cloud division.
  • Extend Google's presence in the market beyond traditional business interactions.
