About the Director of AI Engineering – Poland Office AI Role

The Director of AI Engineering at the Poland office will collaborate with AI leaders at Relativity to expand the AI talent pool, foster cross-functional learning and innovation, lead strategic AI initiatives, and oversee key functions and teams within the AI strategy. The goal is to drive AI innovation further by leveraging the talent and scalability of our Poland office.

Responsibilities
  • Represent Relativity's AI strategy, key product efforts, and teams/functions in Poland.
  • Engage with industry conferences, events, and customers on behalf of Relativity.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to build a cross-functional AI team through various channels.
  • Champion large initiatives, prioritize investments, and ensure clear communication.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, and product teams to scale ideas into solutions.
  • Guide technical investment roadmap and assist in prioritizing tech debt and architecture enhancements.
  • Mentor AI engineering team members, foster innovation, and encourage a culture of learning.
  • Inspire others with a vision of how AI technology can revolutionize Relativity.
  • Provide insights to company leadership on innovative tech solutions through partnerships or acquisitions.
  • Promote innovation, data curiosity, and scaled data usage.
  • Evolve the AI operating model to encompass multiple offices globally.
  • Oversee key features, technology functions, and teams within the AI strategy.
  • Assist US leaders in staffing and mentoring Poland-based teams effectively.
  • Develop onboarding practices and enhance AI skillsets within the Poland office.
  • Participate in the Poland Engineering leadership team to optimize engineering practices continuously.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in leveraging data for knowledge retrieval, search, and ML/AI solutions.
  • Expertise in cloud environments, big data infrastructure, and data science tools.
  • Familiarity with privacy standards such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Leadership experience in software teams within global organizations.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions and leading teams.
  • Experience in product selection, vendor negotiation, and excellent communication skills.
  • Collaboration with data science teams and understanding of data science project lifecycles.
  • Ability to create processes for managing data quality and running systems in cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages and cloud computing environments.
  • Experience in SaaS/Cloud environments with distributed teams.
  • Track record of launching new products and managing BI for customer insights.
  • Knowledge in machine learning, statistics, and creating customer dashboards.
