About the position:

As a Business Expert working as a Data Steward in Cluster Trade Finance, your role entails managing data utilized across Trade Finance products. Collaborating with Data Officers and other stewards from different clusters, you will oversee metadata and data quality in various areas:

  • Close collaboration with teams/vendors to define standard data models and customizations.
  • Acting as the primary contact for the CDO (Chief Data Officer) Office / Cluster Data Stewards.
  • Participation in and contribution to the Data Steward Community.
  • Ownership of data within the cluster and organizational unit under the framework.

The Cluster Trade Finance team ensures quick, customer-focused delivery of Trade Finance products globally, encompassing the entire Trade Finance Supply Chain both electronically and traditionally. Our operations involve documentary business (such as Letter of Credits, Collections, Guarantees) linked with advancing automated IT solutions using OCR technology and Artificial Intelligence.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting management (Cluster Leads, Line Management, or Management of international locations) in establishing robust Data Management practices.
  • Documenting and maintaining business and technical data models and flow for the trade finance sector.
  • Reporting to local management structures as well as the Chief Data Officers.
  • Preparing documentation for standard Trade Finance data models, processes, and customizations.
  • Compiling Data Management reports and KPIs.
  • Collaborating on Data Delivery Agreements with other Data Stewards and Product Owners.
  • Enhancing data quality through effective management within the cluster and organizational unit.
  • Implementing the Data Quality Issue Management process in the cluster.
  • Supporting the rollout of Data Quality Issue Management across clusters or units.
  • Analyzing and resolving Data Quality issues.

Key technologies & skills we require:

  • Trade Finance Business Knowledge.
  • Business workflow and data modeling expertise.
  • Data analytics proficiency.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence and Scrum methodologies.
