The Axial Programme will be powered by S/4HANA a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be implemented right across the organisation and will provide our business with standardised processes, enhanced financial management, common data and real time reporting, transforming the way we work through our entire supply chain - from bench to patient.
The new system will be used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities and is central to most core business processes. This is a once in a generation programme for AstraZeneca and will shape our ways of working globally for many years to come.

Accountabilities
The Enterprise Process Expert (EPE) for Procure to Pay Systems Integration will be responsible for supporting the effective integration of our Non-SAP P2P systems within the core ERP environment. You will provide expert knowledge to support the Enterprise Process Lead, focusing on the definition, design and integration of our non-SAP systems to ensure their seamless integration with S/4 HANA.
In this role, the EPE will work with subject matter and technical experts across the business to understand the scope of current integrations and align future integrations with the fit to standard approach that has been adopted in Axial. You will also work cross-functionally within the P&MM team to ensure the integrations support and improve core process areas including Sourcing and Contracting, Direct Procurement, Indirect Procurement, ESM, Materials Management, Accounts Payable and Healthcare Payments.
The Non-SAP system landscape starts with the upstream integration of our sourcing and contract management platforms. Then Axial needs to address the integration of purchase-to-pay and T&E platforms. Finally, more specific point solutions for payments must connect. These elements must all integrate seamlessly with our ERP to maximise the efficiency and consistency of our P2P processes while embracing the opportunities presented by S/4 HANA.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support a team of business and technical SMEs for the key Non-SAP P2P platforms
- Partner closely with IT on the Technical Integration of Non-SAP systems with S/4 HANA.
- Provide strategic input into the optimal adoption of S/4 HANA technology
- Drive integration standards, harmonisation and alignment to the process
- Partner with the Data teams to ensure the S/4 HANA data model and data cleansing activities support the integration of Non-SAP systems and target key performance indicators
- Document the process to appropriate level of detail and to relevant compliant requirements & assure relevant documentation and SOPs are trained in place with Users
- Facilitate sharing of good practice and learning
- Identify issues and risks, highlighting as required and managing through Business Risk Log
- Manage links with related processes and relationship with key partners
Essential Requirements
- Solid understanding of business process management and establishment and governance of global standard processes.
- Good knowledge of how own process area is transacted in SAP
- Demonstrated ability to develop and/or support adoption of globally harmonised business processes
- Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver IT and/or business change across multiple locations and/or business functions
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with an ability to influence others to achieve objectives
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
