Senior EMEA Trade Compliance Analyst

• Execute trade operations for compliance with import/export laws (customs and export controls)
• Maintain compliance activities as per TE policies
• Implement trade compliance policies and assure they are correctly followed
• Act as a point of contact for trade-related matters in Industrial BU
• Cooperate with Trade Authorities (Customs & Export Control Authorities, BAFA and other as applicable for business support)
• Aid in maintaining BU-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting to enhance operational efficiency
• Track regulatory changes and work with GTS Governance to monitor trade compliance regulatory and legislative changes, assess the potential impact to the BU, and determine the necessary actions and communications to the appropriate stakeholders
• Cooperate with GTS Governance teams to conduct trade compliance audits and oversee corrective action plans
• Collaborate closely with internal functions (e. g. GTS PMO and GTS Service centers) to address trade compliance issues
• Ensure appropriate utilization of the GTS Operations Service Center for product classification (import and export), restricted party screening, and duty savings compliance, and otherwise ensure proper country of origin determination, valuation, and admissibility
• Provide trade compliance trainings as per business needs
• Identify cost-effective trade opportunities

• Success in the role requires strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, strategic analysis and planning capabilities involving complex situations, highly developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate interdisciplinary teams (internal and external) to drive issues and projects to conclusion.
• 5+ years' experience in global trade compliance
• Fluent German and English
• Broad functional knowledge of import and export regulations and familiarity with customs practices in countries across the region
• Experience in close collaboration with customs and export control authorities and customs brokers
• Ability to work with variety of business groups, including supply chain, legal, procurement and finance
• Ability to foster teamwork and internal and external relationships
• Excellent organizational habits and priority management
• Customer focused with a commitment to quality
• Preferred: Customs Broker License
• Travel may be necessary in fulfillment of responsibilities
