What are the challenges in this position?
  • Conductshort and long term capacity planning for manufacturing facilities.
  • Monitor inventory performance indicators and establish targets, along with tracking weekly production metrics for designated product lines.
  • Offer guidance to production schedulers to optimize efficiency, output, and prioritization.
  • Collaborate across teams to develop a comprehensive plan ensuring service targets are met.
  • Interface with Industrial Planning and Ops Finance to align monthly budgets and provide insights on variances.
  • Establish robust processes and empower team members to excel in supply planning practices.
  • Plan and manage inventory and production for seasonal items while overseeing plant operations.
  • Implement strategies to minimize product obsolescence and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze root causes of customer service and obsolescence issues, proposing effective solutions.
  • Execute tactical initiatives to maintain high customer service levels amidst production challenges.
  • Collaborate with IT to enhance supply planning tools and systems.
  • Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) initiatives to optimize production and capacity metrics.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning in various activitiesfor supply chain optimization purposes.
  • Identify and address supply chain dependencies to enhance customer fill rates efficiently.
What Competencies do you need to have?
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position - preferred FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record in overseeing production planning, inventory management, capacity planning, and deployment across multiple facilities.
  • Proficient in utilizing ERP and APS systems for production scheduling.
  • Proven ability to thrive in dynamic environments characterized by multiple internal customers/business units within a multi-facility company.
  • Previous experience in leadership roles with responsibilities for managing direct reports is preferred.
  • Very good knowledge of English - it is the main language of communication in the company and team.
