Summary:

At Baxter, we are establishing an exceptional Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization. We are launching a groundbreaking program to streamline processes, enhance systems, boost forecasting accuracy, strengthen business partnerships, and expand opportunities for personal development and professional growth.

As the EMEA FP&A Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch decision and finance support to the Planning and Fulfillment (P&F) team in the EMEA region, managing approximately 25% of the annual budget for this function (approx. $332M annually).

In this role, you will oversee core planning and analysis activities, collaborating with a wide finance team and various cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.

This position will collaborate with the EMEA Ops Team to create the annual budget, forecasts, and analysis to control and manage the P&F operations, ensuring efficient systems to measure performance against operating plans and support the achievement of objectives.

What will your responsibilities include?

  • Acting as a Finance Business Partner for EMEA Planning & Fulfillment Leadership, leveraging financial and business expertise to drive process improvements, policy development, and strategic initiatives
  • Leading the P&F processes (Plan, Forecast, LRP) in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Updating budget and forecast adjustments in the system for the respective countries
  • Providing financial and business support to enable optimal business decisions
  • Preparing Monthly/Quarterly Results Review, periodic LBE's in close coordination with market leadership, participating in and leading monthly result reviews
  • Conducting ad-hoc analysis for strategic evaluations, financial simulations, and Excel modeling to offer insightful recommendations supporting management decisions
  • Driving and overseeing global financial initiatives alignment with function and updates in the global FP&A process
  • Updating process flows, operating manuals, training guides, and standard operating procedures as required

Who are we seeking?

  • Experienced Analyst with a minimum of 3 years demonstrating expertise in key finance competencies and qualifications in relevant experience with financial planning and reporting within ISC/P&L structure
  • Proficient user of PowerPoint, Excel, JD Edwards (JDE), Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Cognos BI systems (or similar solutions) with a willingness to learn and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Individual with strong communication skills and the ability to collaboratively work with global business partners
  • Self-starter with robust analytical skills and decision-making capabilities familiar with accounting processes and strong business acumen
  • Person with time management and influencing skills to propel initiatives and handle cross-functional tasks efficiently
  • Fluent English speaker and a graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
