JTI Presents: Payments Senior Specialist

Overview of the Role - Purpose:

The Payments Senior Specialist role plays a crucial part in ensuring the effectiveness of the Payments department by upholding high standards, promptly handling payments, and adhering strictly to policies. This role involves supervising team performance, resolving intricate queries, and pinpointing areas for process enhancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Process a significant volume of payments in SAP and banking platforms, conforming to Company Policies and Procedures, and meeting set targets.
  • Address inquiries and requests from vendors, markets, and other teams promptly and efficiently to sustain exceptional service delivery.
  • Troubleshoot payment-related issues and complex queries efficiently.
  • Propose process enhancement ideas in case of inefficiencies, actively engage in improvement projects.
  • Review documentation, make essential updates, and carry out operational controls in the Payments domain.
  • Foster strong collaboration with all teams within the GBS environment for efficient Payments processes.

Requirements:

  • University Degree (preferably in Accounting/Finance).
  • Minimum of 3 years in Accounting with at least 1 year in Payments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Comprehensive understanding of P2P processes and policies.
  • Proficiency in JSOX controls within Payments.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP compulsory).
  • Strong grasp of banking platforms and payment landscape.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Capability to adapt and perform under pressure.
  • Quick learner with the capacity to absorb information rapidly.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Team player mindset.
  • Competence to work autonomously and manage workload efficiently.
  • Capacity to identify and address potential risks.
