Job Description

We are part of a global **multidisciplinary team** consisting of more than 20 designers, researchers, and writers, with the goal of simplifying sustainable supply chain management to achieve the ideal combination of flexibility, power, and user-friendliness, leading all companies towards sustainability. Our focus is on providing a seamless end-to-end experience on Ecovadis' multi-product platform.

Our Product and Solution team is currently in need of a **Product Design Director**. As the **Head of Design**, your responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of user experience for our multi-product portfolio, which encompasses visual and interaction design, user research, and design systems involving a team of 20 individuals. You will play a key role in elevating the agility and quality of our product experiences to match those of top consumer user experiences. Your aim is to shift the dialogue from asking 'How long will this take?' to 'What more can we achieve?' In this position, you will be reporting to the **VP of Ratings and Platform Product Management** and will have direct visibility to the **Chief Solution Officer (CSO)** of EcoVadis.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • **Leadership responsibilities:**
    • Developing and owning the product design vision for EcoVadis by collaborating with our CSO, engineering and product leadership, and leveraging your own expertise to shape the future direction of our product designs in alignment with our product and business objectives.
    • Working with product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to define goals, strategies, and outcomes for the design team. Understanding the design requirements for large-scale software projects, identifying critical design areas, and breaking them down into manageable tasks.
  • **Creative responsibilities:**
    • Creating design strategies, standards, and a long-term vision to ensure the team consistently delivers cutting-edge UX/UI, user flows, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed mockups.
    • Ensuring effective planning, scoping, and organization of team projects to facilitate timely delivery. Advocating for rapid iteration, user research, and strategic experimentation.
    • Improving product usability by analyzing qualitative and quantitative feedback (e.g., NPS, product usage data, user testing results).
  • **People & Operations responsibilities:**
    • Leading and mentoring a young, ambitious design team primarily based in **Warsaw, Poland**.
    • Establishing the necessary tools and processes to enable the team to perform at their best.
Qualifications
  • Possess **over 10 years of experience** in human-centered or service design, with a preference for expertise in developing software subscription-based products, whether in the tech industry or other sectors.
  • Demonstrate a results-driven mindset reflected in a portfolio of high-quality design accomplishments as an individual contributor, manager, and leader; balancing a data-driven approach with design sensibilities.
  • Display an execution-focused mentality characterized by a strong drive, humility, and resourcefulness to achieve objectives.
  • Have experience collaborating with large teams and excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Showcase experience in navigating the dynamic growth phase of companies and teams, bringing clarity to ambiguous situations.
  • Exhibit fluency in English for business purposes and the ability to lead multicultural teams spanning different time zones.
