We are looking for a Business Controller with strong personal drive to join Polish Finnance organization. The person is focusing to Heating and Cooling Poland Business Area (BA).

About the role

Your main role as a Business Controller is to act as a business partner for Heating and Cooling Poland business. In this role you will support and challenge business units in their daily work and in their decision making.

You will be responsible for providing management reporting, analysis and have a central role in supporting the business in their short and long term forecasting process. You will have a vital role in periodical books closing processes, including monthly accruals preparations.

Furthermore, you will develop finance processes and analysis tools as well as participate to Fortum level finance development and business projects.

The position is located in Wrocław and reporting to Director Business Control – Heating and Cooling Poland. To succeed in this role some travelling might be required.

About you

  • You have an academic degree in Economics and some years' experience in business controlling and performance reporting preferably in international big corporation.
  • In addition knowledge of Polish accounting regulations, international financial reporting standards and tax regulations will be an important benefit.
  • Based on your education, individual profile and/or previous tasks you are able to convince us that you are individually capable to act as an active Business Controller performing advanced analysis as well as interpret and provide forecasts to steer decision making process.
  • As a person you are business oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills as well as ability to influence others across Fortum's global organization.
  • You possess proactive and team-oriented behaviour, but are able to reach set targets individually as well.
  • You are constructive challenger with positive can do attitude enabling change and taking initiative to improve business as well as finance processes further and deliver results.
  • You can also convince us that you are flexible person with high clock-speed and stress tolerance.
  • Good IT and Office 365 skills combined with knowledge of finance systems and business intelligence tools is seen as an advantage.
  • You are fluent in English and Polish.
