Our People Team

We're the People Team at VML, a diverse group of 8 passionate individuals each with unique superpowers. Our team includes three rockstars handling HR Admin and Payroll, and three more who keep the rest of the show running smoothly. We believe in hiring for attitude and skills, then shaping the job around the person.

What You'll be doing at least for the beginning

Talent Acquisition:

  • Take full responsibility for attracting top talent through both internal and external methods, supporting efforts to retain and mobilize our existing people.
  • Own the end-to-end talent lifecycle, acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers across the business.
  • Engage with talent through targeted employer branding strategies, always promoting VML as a destination employer.
  • Be an expert resourcer, using online tools, job boards, events, networking, referrals, headhunting, and more to attract the best candidates.

Culture and Employee Communication:

  • Champion our company culture by designing and implementing initiatives that foster engagement, inclusivity, and community.
  • Collaborate with our Head of PR to manage internal communications, ensuring our employees are informed, inspired, and connected.
  • Plan and execute internal events and activities that promote team building and employee satisfaction.

On-boarding and Off-boarding:

  • Create and manage a seamless on-boarding process that welcomes new hires and integrates them into our culture.
  • Oversee the off-boarding process, ensuring departing employees leave with a positive impression and valuable feedback.

Who You Are:

  • You have a strong track record of recruiting experience, whether in HR or as a Hiring Manager who loves talent scouting within the agency, marketing, creative industry, or tech.
  • You possess first-class communication skills and an openness to learn new perspectives.
  • You're an expert user of LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS systems.
  • You have a bright, confident, engaging personality with a real desire to succeed, ensuring you always achieve your goals and leave no stone unturned.
  • You're genuinely passionate about talent acquisition, talent growth, and people in general.
  • You're curious about new trends, award winners, and campaigns in the industry.
  • You're comfortable working in a fast-paced creative environment with a confident, client-focused mindset and an enthusiastic, results-oriented attitude.
