As 2nd Level Application Support Engineer, you'll be part of an international team collaborating with developers to ensure application availability for PAYBACK in Italy, Austria, and Poland.

Your responsibilities:

  • Work as an Application Support Engineer at 2nd Level following the DevOps model.
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Showcase strong troubleshooting skills for analyzing performance issues and incidents.
  • Ensure timely issue resolutions within agreed RTO.
  • Monitor applications and perform debugging using DevOps tools to guarantee availability.
  • Handle monitoring configuration and automate tasks using scripts.
  • Stay informed about ITSM processes like Incident, Changes Management, Problem Management.
  • Review logs, investigate data in databases for failures, and initiate pro-active defect resolution.
  • Escalate unexpected behavior to the appropriate team.
  • Collaborate with external service providers to ensure service consistency.

Your Profile:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Have 2+ years of experience as a Support Engineer, focusing on monitoring and ITIL processes.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
  • Show strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with knowledge of ELK/Grafana/Icinga as a plus.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems, shell or python scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with various technologies like Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, Oracle, OpenShift, and GCP is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of flat file and XML batch processing, as well as communication protocols.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with different stakeholders.
