Description of the role:

The Programme Coordinator will oversee the management and operations of the programme, including budgetary and managerial duties. This position reports to the Director of the Academy.

The key responsibilities of the Programme Coordinator include:

  • Serving as the main contact point for the EEAS and FPI regarding programme activities, contracts, and organizational matters;
  • Developing and refining internal processes for the programme's operations;
  • Coordinating course planning, activities, and programme implementation;
  • Collaborating with internal College of Europe resources to facilitate participant logistics and teaching arrangements;
  • Supervising the Academic Coordinator, Project Assistants, and team members;
  • Reporting to the Academy Director;
  • Establishing and managing data collection systems for monitoring and evaluation purposes;
  • Managing programme budgets and finances under the Director's guidance;
  • Preparing contractual reports and operational recommendations.

Required qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in European studies, diplomacy, political science, international relations, or related field;
  • Proficiency in English, with knowledge of French and/or other languages as a plus;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Understanding of EU external action and European Diplomacy;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project and programme management, preferably with EU-funded grants;
  • 5 years of experience in organizing training activities;
  • Prior team management experience;
  • Background in communication, including social media management, is beneficial;
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and deadline-oriented skills;
  • Proactive, results-driven, and collaborative approach;
  • Ability to work independently and within a team;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking abilities.

The Programme Coordinator position based in Bruges, Belgium, needs to be filled at the earliest, no later than early July 2024. This is a part-time role at 0.7 FTE.
