We are looking for a Team Leader to join our Accounts Payable team in Gdynia, Poland

The chosen candidate will be in charge of leading a group of specialists who handle accounts payable processes and travel expense reimbursement for DNV employees. In this role, you will need to combine individual contribution with leadership skills, providing guidance, direction, and prioritization to your team. We are seeking someone with excellent people management abilities, a strong focus on customer satisfaction, and a willingness to go above and beyond to contribute to DNV's success.

The Team Leader in Accounts Payable will report to the Head of Section in the same department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of 16 specialists, overseeing staff development, recruitment, goal setting, performance evaluations, and supervisory duties
  • Providing guidance and support to team members to ensure successful completion of tasks
  • Coordinating weekly and monthly operational tasks, ensuring appropriate task distribution within the team for continuous business operations
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the AP service team, prioritizing tasks, and optimizing resources to meet or exceed service level agreements
  • Ensuring the quality, compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness of processes
  • Maintaining strong relationships with Business Groups in multiple countries and other stakeholders
  • Regularly analyzing KPIs and developing action plans to achieve targeted levels
  • Handling daily team issues, escalations, and ensuring a positive team culture
  • Supporting strategic decision-making and fostering team development
  • Organizing social events, team-building activities, and providing various benefits such as language lessons support, vouchers, life insurance, and office snacks

Experience in GSS Finance streams for a minimum of 4 years and a Master's degree in related fields are required for this role. While managerial experience is beneficial, it's not mandatory. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of financial processes in a shared service environment, the ability to turn business questions into analytics projects, and a knack for innovation and digital solutions. Professional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, are essential.
