With a team of over 250 in Woodland Hills, Calif., near Los Angeles, Infinity Ward boasts a talented and passionate development team that enjoys a vibrant workplace environment.

Your Mission:

Infinity Ward is on the lookout for a hard surface artist to join their vehicle art team. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of artistic creativity and technical skills to develop and maintain vehicles for a first-person shooter game, with opportunities available for both junior and senior artists.

  • Create vehicles, gear, and props using scan data, concept art, and reference photos
  • Perform basic rigid skinning to set up vehicle in-game
  • Maintain assets efficiently within budget constraints
  • Collaborate with the team for both artistic and technical aspects of vehicle development
  • Work closely with designers, concept artists, and animators
  • Receive and implement feedback to enhance work
  • Provide input for tool improvement
  • Adhere to schedules and meet project deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Experience in creating realistic game vehicles
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • 3+ years of experience in game development
  • Quick to learn new tools
  • Proficiency in tools like Substance Painter, Blender, 3DMax, Maya, or similar software

Pluses:

  • Ability to build relationships and resolve conflicts
  • Understanding of rigging principles
  • Familiarity with engine limitations and requirements
  • Knowledge of additional 3D software like Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, etc.
  • Experience with scan data
