What's the role?
About The Parking & Electric Vehicle (EV) Team To complete the journey, the last meters play a crucial role. These final steps can often be the most stressful part of the trip, from finding a free parking spot to paying for it, and making sure there is an EV charging facility available. The key to providing a seamless last-meter experience lies in merging dynamic Parking & EV data with other HERE mapping components such as Building Footprints and Indoor Maps. Introducing Digital Ticketing & Payment services will enable drivers to book in advance and travel with even greater ease. The Parking & EV services will be available through various channels, either as a standalone offering or integrated with other HERE products like Search, Places, and HERE Navigation-on-Demand. The Parking & EV teams at HERE are responsible for developing the platform services that process and deliver both static and dynamic Parking & EV data to customers. Responsibilities:
Drive technical initiatives within the teams. Hands-on involvement in delivering high-quality code. Assist in designing customer-facing APIs. Troubleshoot issues such as high latencies, identify root causes, and devise solutions. Provide support for existing products, including on-call responsibilities. Collaborate with the Architect and SCRUM to develop reliable services that ensure maximum availability and efficiency.Who are you?
Must Have:
Significant experience in backend application development using functional programming language (Scala). Proficiency in data structures and algorithms for processing large data volumes. Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools, particularly GitLab. Knowledge of deployment and monitoring procedures utilizing technologies like Kubernetes, Grafana, and Splunk in high-throughput systems employing Redis, Memcached, or Kafka. Experience working in an agile software development environment as part of a Scrum team. Strong programming practices with a focus on writing reusable, flexible, and reliable code. Emphasis on quality, including unit testing, performance testing, and writing testable code. Motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player with an agile mindset. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal (working with a remote international team).Nice to have:
Experience with Spark or Flink. Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies. Proficiency in Java programming. Strong skills in geo-spatial data and algorithms. Knowledge of geo-spatial standards (e.g., Spatial Features Specification, GeoTIFF).What we offer?
