Procurement Hub Sourcing Manager

As the Cross BU Procurement Manager, you will oversee external supplier relationships, negotiate favorable terms, and manage long-term contracts. Your responsibilities include identifying new vendors, monitoring service levels, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. By taking the lead in strategic category management, you will work with stakeholders to deliver value in line with Haleon and Procurement goals.

You will be accountable for overseeing critical Sourcing and Category management tasks for one or multiple BUs across various indirect categories like Marketing, Warehousing and Distribution, or Professional Services. This role involves collaborating with procurement category and local market teams to provide sourcing, negotiation, contract execution, and supplier lifecycle management services to the global procurement organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Execution

  • Implement sourcing strategies for spend categories in alignment with stakeholder and business partner requirements, in cooperation with the Global Categories team.
  • Realize benefits outlined in strategies, locally, regionally, and globally, through effective and collaborative execution aligned with supply assurance, quality, service, cost, and innovation.
  • Ensure adherence to Haleon's Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems, and methodologies in the respective area.

Value Delivery

  • Assist category leads in setting and achieving savings targets in collaboration with key stakeholders and Finance per the agreed Savings Methodology.
  • Deliver values outlined in strategies, locally, regionally, and globally through effective strategy execution, aligned with supply assurance, quality, service, cost, and innovation.
  • Achieve savings and other KPIs crucial to global procurement plans as per alignment with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the Savings Methodology and global budgets.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management in Haleon

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement strategies on a global/regional scale, supported by robust implementation and transition plans.
  • Demonstrate success in engaging with various senior leaders across business areas and suppliers.
  • Address escalations, including those from senior business stakeholders, promptly and diplomatically.
  • Navigate organizational complexity effectively to achieve set objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated procurement expertise in commercial and contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, Indirect category management, cost model synthesis, and supplier relationship management for complex, high spend engagements across multiple countries.
  • Proven ability to navigate organizational complexity, collaborate with multiple teams, influence without authority, handle escalations, and manage associated business impact.
  • Experience in utilizing complex business processes in all of Haleon's supplier transactions, including risk, regulatory, and compliance aspects.
  • Proficiency in using tools like Ariba or equivalent sourcing execution technology.
  • Experience in leveraging procurement analytics/data outputs to generate reports.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree in Business Management, Mathematics, or Business Operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests daily and work independently.
  • Capability to engage senior leadership with minimal direction.
  • Operating at pace and making agile decisions - using evidence and judgment to balance speed, rigor, and risk.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality results, overcoming challenges, focusing on priorities, and execution.
  • Constantly seeking opportunities to learn, develop skills, and share knowledge.
  • Ensuring sustained energy and well-being.
  • Building strong relationships and fostering collaboration through honest and open communication.
  • Budgeting and maintaining cost-consciousness.
  • Additional Languages: German or Spanish/Italian B2 proficiency would be advantageous.
