Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Junior Delivery Consultant, you will work under general supervision closely with IBM clients and partners to support designing, co-deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients' goals. In this role, you will develop and apply your technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills such as problem-solving issue- / hypothesis-based methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs, a team that is client focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical, you'll collaborate with clients to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.

Information and Data are some of the most important organizational assets in today's businesses. As a Security Consultant, you will support IBM's clients, analyzing business requirements to support design and co-implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

  • Solving Client Challenges Effectively: Document and Understand clients' main challenges and support developing solutions that helps them reach true business value by working thru the phases of design, development integration, implementation, migration and product support with a sense of urgency.
  • Agile Planning and Execution: Supporting creation and executing agile plans where you are responsible for installing and provisioning assets, testing, migrating to production, and day-two operations.
  • Technical Solution Workshops: Supporting technical solution workshops.
  • Building Effective Relationships: Developing successful relationships at all levels —from engineers to middle management with experience of navigating challenging debate to reach healthy resolutions.
  • Self-Motivated Problem Solver: Demonstrating a natural bias towards self-motivation, curiosity, initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client, partner, and IBM team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Basic knowledge of Security Intelligence/ Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
  • Basic knowledge of SIEM products
  • Familiar of SOC governance and SOC processes
  • Knowledge of SOC Ticketing Workflows
  • Demonstrating knowledge of compliance issues and industry standards frameworks (eg, ISO 27001/2)
  • Working understanding of technology used to monitor logs
  • An entry level knowledge of processes involved in prioritization, escalation, and management of security incidents
  • Secondary European language despite English
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
An understanding of security technologies such as; firewalls, intrusion detection, content filtering, anti-virus, mobile security, data loss prevention, bot-net detection, and other such technologies in the security industry.
  • Consulting on security incident handling and management programs
  • Experience in management of a security operation center
  • Experience in implementing SIEM technology and advise on best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of existing cloud platforms
The junior consultant, working under general supervision will develop competency to become internal advisor to other IBM consultants and client teams. The consultant will support implementation the IBM Security software at customers with as biggest focus to make the customers successful with IBM Software.
As a junior consultant you will support identifying gaps in the current environment and recommend best practices or solutions to reduce client risk and increase their ability to deal with emerging threats and risks to the organization.
