The position is responsible for providing legal support to more than one of the entities being supported by JTI GBS LRA, including contract management, contract review and other business-relevant service.

What will you do:

  • Drafting, reviewing and certifying compliance of contracts initiated or requested by contract owners from different departments of various JTI entities. Types of contracts supported may include standard and/or non-standard contracts related to: sale and/or purchase of goods or services, manufacturing agreements, NDAs, international intercompany agreements, HR agreements, distribution agreements, finance agreements etc.
  • Provides contractual support to different departments of JTI entities on any post-signing matters (e.g. renewals, amendments, legal notices, termination)
  • Ensures that all contracts are comply with applicable legislation and are in accordance with JTI governance standards and respective operating procedures
  • Providing and/or coordinating legal counseling and corporate governance activites, including but not limited to: providing opinion, legal analysis, arranging PoAs in accordance with internal policies, maintaining relevant records
  • Coordinating the workflow of contract lifecycle in accordance with JTI governance standards and respective operating procedures

Who are we looking for:

  • University Degree - Master of Law
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with contracts. Experience in the capacity of an in-house lawyer providing general legal support to a business entity, especially with drafting and working with a variety of template based contracts, notably commercial, treasury and financing contracts
  • Knowledge of and experience of general principles of law, in particular: Civil, Commercial, Competition & EU Law. Ability to search through various sources of legal documents (LEX, Archives, Commercial Registers)
  • Good overall knowledge of MS Office, Legal & IT systems,
  • Proficient (C1) level of English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, learning on the fly ability, very well-organized problem solver
