Senior IT Service Desk Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior IT Service Desk Specialist to the team to provide exceptional hardware and software support to employees. As a Senior IT Service Desk Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing escalated user queries, offering guidance and solutions for hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other essential hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Support: Offer continuous support for firm users on various software platforms, including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and specialized firm applications such as iManage, Litera, and IntappTime.
  • Hardware and Mobile Device Support: Provide ongoing assistance with hardware and mobile devices, including setup, installation, troubleshooting, and coordinating service repairs when necessary.
  • Inventory Management: Take responsibility for maintaining accurate inventory records of hardware and mobile devices.
  • Operational Documentation: Create and update operational documentation, including instructions and procedures for IT services.
  • Issue Reporting: Utilize the Service Now system to report and escalate problems to relevant support groups if onsite resolution is not feasible.
  • User Account Management: Manage user accounts in Active Directory on the MS Exchange server.
  • Mobile Device Management: Oversee the management of firm mobile devices, including BlackBerry Unified Endpoint Management (UEM).
  • Video Conferencing Support: Provide technical support for video conferences and assist with IT setup for meetings with external clients.
  • Telephony Management: Manage stationary telephones and ensure their proper functioning.
  • Project Participation: Actively participate in firm-wide IT projects, including testing new software and hardware, implementing improvements and updates, and maintaining the technical infrastructure of the office.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably experience as a 1st and 2nd line IT support agent.
  • Ability to work as a partner with Senior Management staff and ability to help, support, advise, and explain with empathy and engagement.
  • Very good communication in Polish and English.
  • Experience with Microsoft back-office products such as Windows Server 2016/Active Directory and Exchange Server.
  • Knowledge of the Service Now platform for issue tracking and management.
  • Understanding of Networking Directory Services, Microsoft ADS, LDAP, TCP/IP DHCP, DNS, and WINS.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of IT service management principles, ITIL Foundation Certification will be a big plus.
  • Preferred or similar technical certification showcasing proficiency in Microsoft technologies.
  • Proficiency in supporting various applications including MS Word, Interwoven, MS Outlook, Intapp Time, MS Excel/MS PowerPoint,
  • Citrix/DUO, Webex, Jabber, MS Teams, and others.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting PCs, printers, PDAs, and other hardware devices.
