This role is all about ensuring a smooth flow of supplies in specific areas. You'll be taking cues from the Director of Category Management and collaborating with various teams to achieve cost-effective, high-quality, on-time, and reliable outcomes in line with the company's objectives. You'll be responsible for overseeing ongoing projects, providing updates, removing obstacles, and escalating issues when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct business analysis of expenses utilizing PowerBI and other tools to gain insights into spending trends and their impact on future projections through the SIOP plan.
  • Monitor business performance based on key metrics such as payment terms, delivery punctuality, productivity, inflation rates, pricing differences, changes in commodities, and other critical business indicators to share with Procurement Leadership.
  • Assist Procurement Program Managers (PPM), Commodity Managers (CM), and Senior Procurement Leaders in preparing various program presentations, including those related to supplier relationships, progress in transformation, QBRs, Deep Dives, weekly performance reviews, and preferred vendor analysis.
  • Provide day-to-day support to PPM and CM teams in addressing business challenges and conducting necessary analyses.
  • Lead MDI (manage for daily improvement) activities to foster ongoing enhancements within Procurement Teams.
  • Perform competitive analysis through RFI, RFP, and RFQ development, evaluate outcomes, document suggestions, and aid in communicating results to vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Leadership to create analytical tools supporting Category Strategy, Category Leadership, and Procurement efforts.
  • Research, monitor, and communicate industry trends, best practices, relevant indices, and competing offerings to pinpoint opportunities for innovation, competitive edge, and enhanced efficiency.
  • Regularly track receipts and payment prices of specific commodities to ensure timely settlements of crucial supplier invoices.
  • Foster a productive relationship with counterparts in other teams like Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1 year of experience in procurement field
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with PowerBI, MS Access, Project, and Visio is a bonus
  • Familiarity with SAP software is advantageous, but not mandatory
  • High level of English proficiency, with knowledge of additional languages being a plus
