A group of Product Manager experts dedicated to developing the enterprise and data services used throughout Tesco, to enable all of our transaction experiences.
The 'authentication front door' in Tesco's retail platform, in stores and online, on apps, and in service-to-service authentications.
As a Senior Product Manager for Identity, you will be technically minded and work with development teams for customer-related identity and authentication, for all customers' in-store physical and digital experiences, globally.
Building, running, and motivating a talented product team to deliver on your strategy, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and deliver the right outcomes in this domain.
You will ensure Tesco is ahead of the curve for security and customer data standards and regulations while developing the API platform it needs to delight customers and colleagues alike.
Working alongside your engineering counterparts, you will prioritize across your domain, resolving resource conflicts, and always putting the customer first.
responsibilities :
Coordinate ownership and prioritization of Identity Service development while addressing tactical near-term requirements across the legacy technology stack Collaborate with the Lead Product Manager in developing and setting strategy, transforming strategic intent into delivery plans, and overseeing execution via scrum teams.
Regularly providing updates on overall status/next steps to the Lead Product Manager to ensure alignment and cohesion Promote common service rollout and integration consistency across all Tesco systems (with particular emphasis on 'scalability and reuse' and 'standardization' Ensure alignment and harmonization with both legacy and future service platforms.
Shaping the overall strategy, defining and prioritizing business requirements, and collaborating with various business units to ensure integration of their plans.
Collaborate with other Product Managers, Architects, and the Development Team to deliver a roadmap using agile methodologies: prioritizing requirements, answering development questions, and resolving issues, always putting the customer first.
Be a key source of information on matters related to the customer's Identity and API domains and how they are used across the company.
Engage key stakeholders across Tesco, such as Customer proposition, operations, and business development teams, to define the right strategy for each of our regions and store formats.
requirements-expected : At least 8 years of experience in managing products in an Agile environment.
Have proven success in people management, within the product manager domain Be able to effectively manage talented and opinionated product managers Experience in hiring/ developing other Product Managers Carried out many ideas from concept to implementation, through the standard software lifecycle, and achieved measurable success within defined KPIs or OKRs Good domain expertise in the relevant functional area/ a large complex domain: such as enterprise architecture, APIs, and backend.
Efficient in stakeholder management and can steer the team in the right direction by putting the best team members in the most value-generating Products/ Business priorities Knowledge and experience of product management best practices and methodologies; coupled with a strong technical acumen.
Technically competent to influence and understand the solution context and approach; and aid engineering in estimating the complexity of work being requested.
Able to prioritize and trade-off effectively.
Can hold objective conversations with your technology counterparts to prioritize it during any sprint; Have great prioritization and decision-making skills and have made good decisions/judgments around business priorities and resource allocation, etc Desirable: Knowledge and experience of the paradigms and trade-offs surrounding software architectures and technical design choices.
Attitude and the aptitude to learn new product areas/domains quickly Great presentation and persuasion skills Team player who could work collaboratively with other members of the team Ownership, responsiveness, and commitment towards assigned work Great people skills and can gain the respect and trust of team members and others working with you Passion to get the right stuff delivered.
Ability to coach, and develop, other members of the team (typically Product Manager level) to help drive a culture of continuous improvement, personal development, and product excellence.
Good/ effective levels of spoken and written communication in English (as the working language of our Product area) Strong technical acumen and understanding of integration tools, methodologies, and technologies.
