You will be leading cross-functional engineering teams responsible for designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that support critical financial operations. The client is building innovative cloud-based solutions to enhance efficiency, resilience, and customer experience. You will play a key role in shaping engineering strategy, fostering talent growth, and driving continuous improvement across global teams.Your main responsibilities:Driving architecture and delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-quality software systemsEnsuring best practices in software design, testing, and documentation across teamsLeading, mentoring, and developing engineering talent through coaching and feedbackCollaborating with Product and Design teams to define and execute technology roadmapsTranslating business requirements into actionable technical strategiesChampioning automation, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices to enhance productivityMonitoring and improving engineering KPIs and system reliability metricsPromoting innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes and toolsManaging project timelines, risks, and dependencies to ensure timely deliveryFostering an inclusive, high-performance culture that values accountability and learningYou're ideal for this role if you have:At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing teamsProven track record of delivering complex, high-scale software systemsStrong technical foundation in modern software development and system designExperience with cloud platforms, preferably AWSFamiliarity with Java, Spring, middleware technologies (MQ/SQS), and CI/CD pipelinesExperience leading global or distributed engineering teamsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong ability to make technical and strategic decisions under pressureFocus on achieving results and improving delivery metrics such as DORAPassion for building strong engineering cultures and developing technical talentIt is a strong plus if you have:Experience in a high-growth, product-focused technology environmentBackground in data-driven product engineering and decision-makingStrong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management best practicesHands-on experience in post-release system support or SRE practicesKnowledge of emerging technology trends and their business applicationsProven ability to drive automation and operational excellence across teamsExperience fostering developer experience and high-performing teamsWe offer you:ITDS Business Consultants is involved in various, innovative, and professional IT projects for international companies in the financial industry in Europe.
