What to Expect

A Payroll Team Leader plays a key role in enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the Payroll Team to provide top-notch service to internal clients. You'll have the chance to shape the team's direction as it evolves.

As the Payroll Team Leader, you'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors, nurture long-term relationships, enhance payroll processes, and contribute to the successful implementation of new systems.

This role involves leading a team in the HR Shared Services department for the European, Middle East, and African (EMEA) market. You'll foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the team, including workload, engagement, coaching, talent development, and recruitment
  • Ensure high-quality payroll operations in compliance with regulations and customer needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for optimal resource management
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of team members
  • Identify key areas for improvement and establish metrics for operational excellence
  • Handle process and people-related escalations

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong managerial skills
  • Deep understanding of payroll processes
  • University degree (preferably in payroll or HR)
  • Proficient in English
  • Experience in project and process management
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of payroll systems like Workday and ServiceNow
  • Experience in Shared Service Center or Business Process Outsourcing
  • Collaboration with external payroll providers
  • Previous involvement in knowledge transfer
  • Analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
