About the Team

The Advisory Consulting Team are all about our customers and their entire journey with Workday. We create programs to help them drive business value from their Workday applications. We deliver a variety of programs and services to our customers ranging from feature demonstrations to guidance during their deployments.

About the Role

The Team Manager will lead a team of Project Managers. The person in this role will also monitor project delivery and fixed fee budgets, while driving to our financial commitments as an organization. Advisory Consulting Project Managers will drive the execution of projects, ensuring success, efficiency, and quality via project management practices (e.g., create project staffing plan, coordinate system access, conducting meetings, etc.) and by managing the customer relationship for the duration and under the terms of the projects. Within these projects, Project Managers serve as an advocate for Workday, our employees and our customers in equal measure, ensuring projects are completed under budget and on time per the definition of each service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the management of projects for the delivery of Workday Success Plans (WSP) programs and services as outlined above.
  • Clearly and effectively communicating WSP objectives and project delivery strategies.
  • Becoming an expert in WSP offerings and leverage this to support customers.
  • Innovating the way we deliver high volume, concurrent, and short duration projects.
  • Demonstrating competency in the Workday product suite - HCM, Payroll, and/or Financials.
  • Participating in customer meetings when requested to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach, and assist in developing a proposal.
  • Review and communicate quarterly goal and incentive information
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to Engagement Managers, working closely with them to assess skillsets and determine training plans
  • Review and communicate quarterly goal and incentive information
  • Ensuring projects are properly planned and staffed.
  • Contribute to the recurring review of forecast and project data
  • Contribute to annual budget planning; including owning and recruiting against an annual headcount budget
  • Ensuring customers can serve as a reference upon completion of their project.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Fluency in the English language (written and spoken)
  • 10+ years of systems project management experience
  • 3+ years experience building and leading teams
  • Proven track record implementing Workday Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft or similar applications


Other Qualifications

  • Excellent organization, time management, verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for customer service
  • Business development skills
  • Engagement Management experience either as an internal EM or with a consulting/software company
  • Experience managing a book of business with positive financial results
  • Working knowledge with at least one of the following business areas: Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Services procurement
  • Capable of influencing, interacting and collaborating with senior executives, internally and externally
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
