For one of our Client - Bank - we are currently looking for Candidates for the role of:

Position: ESG Risk Manager

Location: Warsaw

The hybrid form of work: 3 days work from the Office & 2 days work remotely / per week

ROLE:

Responsibility for the process of including, monitoring and controlling ESG risk as an important element of risks related to the Bank's operations.

  • Coordination of work related to the review of principles, policies and practices relating to ESG risk management and control
  • Developing the ESG risk management policy for the Bank
  • Proposing solutions to be implemented in the field of taking into account ESG risks in credit policy, security and other regulations
  • Monitoring the regulatory environment in the ESG area (European and national) and providing substantive supervision in the implementation of new supervisory obligations
  • Conduct analysis and review ESG data to identify trends and risks
  • Preparation ESG Risk Management framework
  • Monitoring of regulatory environment (guidelienss)
  • Lead ESG riks identification process (identification of ESG risk in other financial risk)
  • Participation in projects related to quantifying ESG risk in the Bank's portfolio
  • Tracking ESG trends and solutions
  • Building and developing a substantive team
  • Attend meetings and report to management, shareholders and the Board of Directors on ESG progress and performance
  • Develop and manage plans to reduce and manage ESG risks and environmental impacts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Higher education - preferred fields: finance, banking, economics
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership/managerial experience in banking or another financial institution
  • Knowledge of the processes taking place in the bank, the risk management area and understanding of aspects related to the inclusion of ESG risk in the risk management process in banking activities
  • Knowledge of key regulations in the area of risk management and ESG, e.g. taxonomy
  • Experience in project management, ESG preferred
  • Knowledge of English at the business level (cooperation at the group level and relations with the English-speaking management)
  • Developed analytical skills enabling the synthesis of information from various regulations and the development of adequate numerical summaries
  • High interpersonal skills enabling maintaining relationships with employees at various levels of the organization
