ING offers you the chance to make the absolute most of your talent in a traineeship within the bank: the International Talent Programme (ITP). During the course of the traineeship ING will invest in your future now to develop the experts and leaders of tomorrow.

Our traineeship is a two year programme. It starts with three rotations, of which you can even do one abroad, if circumstances allow. After these three rotations you start in your permanent role. The traineeship offers a lot of flexibility. What does this mean? You'll start within your traineeship track. One of your three rotations can be done in a different track, to give you the opportunity to experience and make impact on our clients, products or processes from a different angle. Must have:

University Degree (min. Bachelor or Engineer) with strong mathematical background for example: computer science, statistics, econometrics, mathematics, ops research, engineering, science or other related technical disciplineExperience with building models in code using quantitative techniques and programming languages like Python, R., Scala, C++, Java, SAS/ Matlab and open source softwareFluent English

Nice to have:

Maximum 2 years of working experienceInternational experienceExcellent analytical skillsStrong communication skillsExperience with Testing and validate data modelsData processing and use of visualization toolsUnderstanding & views on economic landscape & banking industry

It all starts with data

It all starts with data – but also with the people who know what can and may be done with it and how data can be used for the customer's benefit. ING is currently in the midst of a radical and exciting transformation from a traditional bank into a tech company. An unavoidable part of that is that we are becoming ever-more data-driven.

Client data is the source of extremely valuable information that we can use – providing it's possible and permitted – to make a real difference for our customers. Data helps us to develop products that are optimally aligned with customer needs. This enables us to empower them to stay a step ahead financially in life and in business. Data drives innovation and helps to provide a solid basis for business decisions. We are already heavily data-driven in many areas, but our ultimate goal is for data to be the logical starting point for innovation, product development and client interaction at all layers and in all departments of the bank.

The Analytics traineeship: for data lovers who will help the bank to stay ahead

ING is already transforming at a rapid pace, but we want to – and can – move even faster. To achieve this, we are investing heavily, not least in new talent. We're keen to have real 'data lovers' on board – talented individuals for whom data is second nature and who are looking for the ideal preparation for a future role as a data scientist or data modeller; people who can show teams across the entire bank just how much is possible with data and then help them to unleash those possibilities. As an Analytics trainee, you're the one who can fulfil this role.
