How to contribute to our vision
As Siemens Gamesa expands its operations in Poland, a new leadership opportunity emerges for a Heavy Lift Supervisor. This crucial role will be instrumental in overseeing the execution of Major Component Replacement Projects (MCRs) on wind farms, directing both the planning and onsite activities. The focus on these complex projects will be to uphold our rigorous standards of safety and efficiency. Beyond MCRs, the role involves supporting standard service activities within Poland, playing a key role in enhancing the performance and safety standards of our wind farms.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of on-site operations for MCRs, ensuring safe, efficient execution in compliance with regulatory standards.
Act as the primary liaison among crane companies, technicians, customers, and local operations teams, facilitating clear and coordinated communication.
Adhere to a rotational work schedule of 14 days on-site followed by 14 days off, committing to 12-hour shifts. Readiness to travel primarily within Poland and occasionally to other areas in Northern Europe and Central Eastern Europe is required.
Play a critical role in the growth and success of a newly established team of 14 Technicians, reporting directly to the Field Resource Manager.
Foster a robust safety culture on-site by overseeing the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and practices.
Provide leadership and support to the Heavy Lift Technicians, encouraging a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing and best practices.
Report on both technical and organizational aspects of projects to the Major Projects Project Manager, providing essential insights and updates on project status.
Manage resource allocation during downtimes to support ongoing service activities, such as maintenance and retrofits.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of on-site project execution and participate in planning and strategic sessions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
This role requires a highly organized individual who can balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining a focus on the overall project goals. Your work will have a direct impact on the success of our projects, contributing to Siemens Gamesa's commitment to innovation and sustainability.
