ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Manage the delivery and champion the deployment of the NPI Programme Deployment process across functional teams to successfully deliver projects for lead markets in all categories in accordance with planned timing, volume, cost, and quality criteria. NPI deployment requires an agile organization that provides the planning and execution of projects across all relevant BAT geographies and designated brand portfolio.

Reports to: AreaNPI Manager

Reporting Level: manages self – no direct reports

Geographic Scope: regionally

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

Act as single point of contact for Europe Local NPI teams in respective category, build and share knowledge on new and on-going NPI Programmes, cascade information top-down from Global and Regional to Local level for further deployment and bottom-up inputs to Global and Regional teams, support creation and sharing of Programme related information which is used across multiple markets. Carry out control activities to ensure Programmes are being implemented on time and in full by relevant NPI Deployment Managers and support to remove impediments and blockers in process. Build, improve and share knowledge on processes, communicate changes in processes relevant for specific category to stakeholders, lead and regularly update Knowledge Academy. Manage the use of best governance practices and associated system (Decision Rights, Protocols and the system usage) and participate or provide inputs, report progress or issues to the appropriate decision-making forums. Manage the delivery of the designated NPI Programme Deployment projects end-to-end utilizing the system. Ensuring business functions are effectively managing; resource allocation, project budget,, project risk (ensuring adequate risk mitigation is in place), deal with operational issues, and highlight lessons learned through improvement plans during reviews. Manage the delivery of financial objectives of NPIs Programme Deployment as per the Regional Marketing cycle plan, which generates growth through innovation, optimisation through productivity and regulatory compliance of the portfolio. Ensure that local business cases progress, appropriate transfer price, CAPEX and write off information required to allow effective business decisions is provided to stakeholders on time. Build and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, aligning and influencing the required activities related to Marketing, Product and Operations, during the NPI development and deployment phases, whilst managing interdependencies with other functions. Coordinate the communication of information and knowledge effectively to the required global, regional, and local functions to ensure overall business visibility and alignment to NPI Programme Deployment. People management responsibility, ensuring the required skills and development for team members, and that performance and compliance to procedures is effectively managed. Manage the delivery of performance management for the deployment of NPI Programmes, whilst minimizing write-offs. Manage and coordinate the central approach to deploying productivity programme's and changes to legal requirements. Report progress and issues related to NPI Programme's Deployment to relevant stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

Degree or equivalent in a science, management, economics, technology or related subject. Demonstrable track record of managing complex issues, working independently, and managing detail as validated by experience. Significant knowledge of NPI Deployment gained through project and programme management experience. Strong awareness of innovation pipeline. Strong knowledge of NPI Deployment in the tobacco industry, with a background in NPI management. Strong knowledge of technical requirements, lead times, and NPI Deployment protocols. Demonstrable project management, planning, and operational implementation skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders at a variety of levels. Excellent project and programme management skills, effective engagement skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
