Summary of our opportunity

The CFM Administration team is responsible for the tracking of the funds’ investments and ensuring that the investors and portfolio managers have accurate and timely portfolio reports. The team also deals extensively with third party administrators and custodians.

This position will be based in Warsaw, but you will report into the Head of European CLO Admin based in London. This role is centred around the structured credit universe as a whole, similar to a hedge fund structure. You will be working closely with an experienced portfolio management team and therefore good English communication skills (verbal and written) are essential. The platform consists of 15 active European CLO’s, 1 open warehouse, three multi-strategy funds and several legacy deals.

Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

Monitor daily cash movements.

Produce daily traded / settled cash figures for Portfolio Managers.

Produce detailed weekly portfolio status reports and present to Portfolio Manager. Explain changes in test results from week to week and propose portfolio improvements.

Reconcile monthly reports, payment dates, waterfalls.

Identify and resolve issues relating to day to day trading activity, investor queries and service provider escalations.

Ad hoc queries from investors, compliance and finance.

Review hypothetical test results.

Review ESMA reporting on a quarterly basis.

Key Requirements/ Qualifications

You will have demonstrable experience of: 

Essential

Educated to degree level.

Open to travelling to London for training.

English speaking (verbal and written).

Desirable

Relevant background, finance, economics, business, or accounting.

1 to 3 years’ experience in hedge fund or alternative investment manager, Trustee or CLO administration.

Familiarity with Collateralized Loan Obligations, ESMA reporting and other structured finance debt types such as trade receivables, credit derivatives would be a plus.

Knowledge of cash entry and reconciliation processes.

Excellent math skills including ability to translate any technical definitions into Excel formulas.

Advanced Excel skills.

Ability to understand complex legal and technical documents.
